Our Guidelines and Educational Choices
“… I think we are looking at something that characterizes a professional culture in the dimension of respect for the child reflected in tone of voice, in gesture, in eye contact, in listening, in encouragement, in empathy for the child's needs and concerns…”
(Júlia Oliveira Formosinho, p. 96)

João de Deus Method
In general, our school has a strong influence of the João de Deus Method, using tools such as the Cartilha Maternal, Blocks Logicians and the Cuisenaire, that allow us to work on learning in a playful and relaxed way, respecting the rhythm of each child.

Work project
Every day the need to adapt the teachings, routines and challenges becomes more obvious, making the children's daily life a succession of free and structured activities, stimulating interest in natural environments, without neglecting the learning of new technologies..

High-Scope, Modern School Movement and Didactic Integration Model
We are committed to a heterogeneous teaching staff in terms of basic and specific training, valuing diversity and adapting the individual tools of each educator to the challenges of each child, applying an integrated method that will aim, above all, to make the children's days more challenging, responding to their inquiring natures, stimulating the affective component, which remains the focus of our project. A holistic view, with family values as the common denominator.
